Service Details and Out of Network Rates

Lifting Little Voices LLC will soon be accepting BCBS-IL PPO plans

10/1/24 Please be patient as I contact both the IRS and BCBS to resolve a technical issue. Lifting Little Voices is technically contracted with BCBS, but there is an error in how something was entered and until resolved claims cannot be processed. Thus, they have me listed as an active provider for clients to view, and "no provider found" on my end.  I do apologize for the inconvenience!

Lifting Little Voices LLC is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBS-IL PPO, Blue Choice, and Blue Cross Community Health Plan+ Network). BCBS-IL has established a fee schedule for providers based on the market value for a geographical area and the number of providers in northern Illinois. This schedule is updated quarterly. At Lifting Little Voices LLC, it is our contractual responsibility to inform clients of a good faith estimate* of what will be billed for each plan (PPO, Blue Choice, Community Health Plan). Fees are subject to change as the insurance schedule is updated.

+BCBS-IL Community Health Plan fees are based on the state Medicaid rates and will be provided per client request when inquiring about services through this plan.

*The No Surprises Act is a federal law effective January 1, 2022. Healthcare providers are required to supply a good faith estimate of non-emergency services if a client does not have or is choosing not to use their insurance and pay out of pocket.

In-Home Therapy Sessions

In-home therapy sessions are designed to provide a comfortable and familiar environment for your child to work on their speech, language, and/or feeding goals.

Each session is tailored to meet your child's unique needs. Weekly or biweekly sessions are typically recommended, but each family and child's treatment plan will vary.

Teletherapy

I began using teletherapy services during the pandemic when requested for social distance. Video sessions offer the flexibility of receiving speech therapy from anywhere on a computer or mobile device!  Much can be accomplished through online games that your family can revisit in your own time.

Google slides will be shared via email with links to fun activities. Through virtual sessions, we can continue to support your child's speech development without concern of vacation travel or minor illnesses. *Some insurance plans continue to allow for telehealth services, but this will vary per plan thus the listed price reflects a private pay option.

Standardized Assessment

We will accept formal speech and language assessments with standardized scores completed within 3-6 months from either a school, Early Intervention, or other clinical setting. Many insurance plans require an assessment to confirm medical necessity, thus we will complete within the first two sessions after consent to begin therapy. If you are seeking services out-of-network, an informal assessment (language sample and informal screening tools) will be used to determine a therapy plan and billed as an out-of-network speech therapy session. Families seeking a formal speech and language evaluation with standardized scores and treatment plan recommendations out-of-network will be required to pay the out-of-network rate below.

* behavioral/sensory based feeding difficulties differ from disorders that require medical or myofacial treatment. Extreme picky eating may be the result of neurodivergence (such as ADHD/Autism) or an outgrown allergy from early in life resulting in habitual picky eating. It may also be the result of an undiagnosed allergy/food intolerance, or oral/ facial structure deviation (such as a "tongue tie"). Children may be referred to their pediatrician or specialist (i.e., gastroenterologist, dietitian, orofacial myologist, allergist, ENT, etc) based on assessment results.
